About Us Welsh Fruit Stocks is one of a very few nurseries in the UK offering gardeners and growers the opportunity to buy soft fruit plants direct from the propagators. This means we sell healthy plants dug from our fields and delivered direct to your door.
Shipping No extra charge is made for carefully packing the plants ready for despatch. For UK deliveries: we send smaller items by First Class Post and use a guaranteed 24-48 Hour Delivery Service for heavier and larger items. Other services can be arranged if required, at cost. Please see Delivery Information for this year's charges.
Please inform us of any special requests for delivery dates, and we will try our utmost to oblige.
If you are not at home during the day, please give us an address where the plants can be left and a signature obtained or where a parcel can be safely left (at your own risk). Also please provide a daytime telephone number which we will pass on to the carriers.
We cannot accept responsibility for plants delivered to the delivery address provided if you are away from home eg, on holiday etc, unless we have been previously notified of any dates when you will be away. We are charged a daily re-delivery fee which we reserve the right to pass on to our customers if the parcel cannot be accepted within two days.
Any order may be collected directly from our site, but only by prior arrangement please. Due to the isolated nature of the propagation beds and the potential plant health risks involved, we are not able to encourage visitors except for the pre-arranged collection of plants.
Delivery Schedule We are only able to lift the plants when they are ready and these times can vary from year to year, so dates are given only as a guide. We are also, of course, dependent on good weather conditions for all of our plant lifting and every effort will be made to supply plants when you require them. However, please bear with us if conditions are severe.
AUTUMN DELIVERIES (ordered July onwards):
Strawberry plants will be despatched from late October, followed by bushes and canes in early-mid November (after a hard frost). Autumn Fruiting raspberry canes will not be lifted and despatched until late November/early December. Orders containing strawberry plants have priority. We avoid the Christmas post unless you have special requests.
SPRING DELIVERIES (ordered mid-Dec onwards):
We can despatch bushes and canes up until the end of March in an average season. Fresh-dug strawberry plants will be available until early May or as cold-stored plants until late June (dependent on stock). Strawberry plants are not usually despatched in January.
By placing an order you will be accepting these delivery dates.
Your plants will be despatched as one shipment, unless you wish to pay separate delivery charges to receive part of your order sooner. If you have provided us with an email address, you will receive an email notifying you of despatch.
Credit Card Security Orders are accepted on the understanding that your account will be charged as soon as we receive your order and you may have to wait for your plants to be despatched at the times given under DELIVERY TIMES.
You can make payment by sending a cheque with your order (cheque made payable to Welsh Fruit Stocks), or by telephoning to pay by credit/debit card. Please note that the phone may not always be manned throughout the working week, but please leave a message so that we can get back to you. Card payments are taken using a secure online payments system called SellerDeck (powered by Creditcall).
You can also place your order via our secure website at www.welshfruitstocks.co.uk. You will then be subject to the terms as detailed on our website.
No financial information is stored on our computers. We do not pass on any of your personal details to anyone else, except your name, address and telephone number to the delivery company delivering your plants.
You should receive an acknowledgement of order automatically if you provide an email address. Please contact us if you do not.
Orders from EU Countries, subject to approval, will be subject to a £7 bank charge which will be included in your invoice. Monies paid should be in sterling and you must advise your bank that you will pay any charges.
Please note that the acceptance of an order does not constitute a contract to supply. Orders are accepted conditionally upon plants being available, subject to crop and certification. We endeavour to constantly assess the availability of plants, but in the event that we are unable to complete an order then we have the right to cancel the order without incurring any further liability to you. In this case a full refund of the plants and postage will be given.
We may very occasionally tell you of any Welsh Fruit Stocks current promotions or special offers via email. If you have provided us with the same email address more than once you will not receive multiple emails. We will not contact you again if you ask us not to. You may opt-out of receiving our newsletter during the checkout process, or by using the opt-out option on every email we send. We do not like spam emails any more than you do!
If you inform us of days that you will not be at home to receive your parcel, these details will remain confidential. If you prefer, you can email us separately with delivery date information and we will ensure that the information does not appear on the outside of your parcel.
This website is based on the Actinic e-commerce system, and is hosted on a secure server. Whilst ordering on our website and opting to pay by credit or debit card you will be transferred to Actinic Payments (powered by Creditcall) which is a secure payment site. No financial information is stored on our computers or on our website.

Returns Policy We like to hear that our plants have done well and we hope that you are very pleased with your purchase. In the unlikely event that you are not, then please contact us giving details of the problem.
If you have followed all instructions on our planting guide, and have still had difficulties, we would like to discuss possible causes and offer replacements or refunds (as the season allows). This is a gesture of goodwill and not an acceptance of liability.
We may ask for the plants to be returned to us for examination purposes only, and we may ask you to send photos of the plants in their current position to help us identify any potential causes.
Postage or delivery costs will still be applicable to any replacement plants which are sent out.
